The Seven Essentials of Family Support Professional Learning Workshop

FSIO is excited to announce that we will be presenting a workshop entitled Understanding the Guiding Principles of Family Support, Their Underlying Values and How They Look in Practice at this year’s Raising the Bar: Lifting the Field conference. We will also be hosting a table at this year’s conference on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Please drop by and visit us.The Guiding Principles of Family Support were developed by FRP Canada (2002) with consultation from family support programs across Canada. They guide our work with children and families in order to build capacity and quality practice for families and practitioners. In this interactive workshop, these principles will be examined that promote family engagement, create meaningful partnerships with families and communities, and how they connect to the four foundations of How Does Learning Happen?

This workshop is designed for practitioners working with families in any capacity, be it early learning and child care, Full Day Kindergarten, or EarlyON child and family centres.
